The IMPRS-QBEE doctoral program provides first-class training to internationally outstanding students who are passionate about animal behaviour, ecology, evolution, physiology and neurobiology and are seeking a starting platform with a stimulating and competitive environment to give their careers a boost.
Requirements
Please note that you need to have a Master’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
Doctoral research
In your application, you can select up to three research groups you are interested in. For details about research areas and participating research groups, please visit the Faculty page on our website.
Timeline of important dates
The application window for positions available for the IMPRS-QBEE doctoral program will be opened on October 12th, 2023, for a start in 2024.
All applications have to be submitted through this application portal, emails will not be considered.
Application deadline: November 20th, 2023 (23:59 CET).
Deadline for references: November 28th, 2023 (17:00 CET).
Candidates will be pre-interviewed online in early January, 2024.
Candidates will be notified by January, 19th 2024, if they are to join the selection symposium. Please notify the coordinator, if you require a visa to enter Germany.
The selection symposium is scheduled for March, 4th to 6th, 2024.
Travel expenses and accommodation for the selection symposium will be covered by IMPRS-QBEE, where applicable.
